About me…
Hi. My name is Miles, and I used to be a Young Living Independent Distributor. Young Living was a company that had both great products, and an even greater “purpose” and “mission” that I fell in love with. I invested heavily both my time and my money learning the MLM business, buying and trying the products, and actively getting my friends and family involved as well.
When I initially got involved, I was in my early 20’s and I had fallen into a very dangerous situation. Suffering from auto-immune disorders, digestive problems, and depression, I was popping a handful of colourful prescription and over-the-counter medications daily. Side effects varied in intensity, and were usually “treated” with some more over-the-counter or prescription products. This continued for a couple years with Doctor’s offering nothing more than another scribble on a prescription pad, eager to move onto the next patient. It was weeks before my 25th birthday and I ended up in the emergency room with what had to be the worst viral infection I’ve ever had remember having. Realizing that the conventional methods were just not working for me, I silently made up my mind to make a change and getting involved with Essential Oils and Young Living was a large part of that. Young Living ignited a previously unknown passion for natural health that resided inside myself and it wasn’t long before I decided to formalize my aromatherapy knowledge by enrolling in a certification course.
In March of 2016 I was advised of an incident involving adulteration of one of Young Living’s products. The complete details of those events are outlined in my blog starting with “The Day Young Living Broke my Heart”. With Young Living failing to address the issues or even speak with the lab that performed the testing, I was compelled to speak out with the truth. For this I was chastised, I was threatened, I was looked down upon, and ultimately forced with the decision of being silent and remaining a YL distributor, or remaining loud with the truth and lose my membership and business with the company.
Many things in life can be bought, but I do not believe that morals are one of them. I refused to become silent and I refused to remove my website and it’s content. Some of you reading this will thank me for my efforts, and some of you will cast contempt and anger my direction. This I have come to learn and know. There is much to learn from the truth, for those that seek it.
